its a terminal used to access your mainframe system also called as blue box or z-system.
LOGON is the command used to log in to the terminal for further processing.
Along with LOGON command you have to enter <YOUR_ID> as a parameter.
After entering this system will prompt you to enter your password,
after entering the password you will see the READY massage on your terminal,
READY message is a MODE message.
There are 5 types of messages, namely
1 MODE
2 PROMPTING
3 INFORMATIONAL
4 BROADCAST
5 MESSAGE FROM OTHER USER
